Brain training games do nothing to keep the mind nimble, according to Cambridge University researchers. The scientists concluded that while we get better at the complex computer exercises with practice, there is no evidence that this is of any use in everyday life. Researchers have, for the first time, tested an acid found in breastmilk on humans. The results are promising, , the substance - known as Hamlet - has been given to patients suffering from bladder cancer. They managed to expel dead cancer cells through their urine after each treatment. Hamlet has shown to kill 40 types of cancer cell whilst leaving cells undamaged.

Guilty after all: Amanda Knox and former lover Raffaelle Sollecito were found guilty of the drug-fueled sex murder of Meredith Kercher. Knox was jailed for 26 years and Sollecito for 25. The conviction, after 14 hours of deliberation, came two years and one month after 21-year-old Miss Kercher’s half naked body was found in a pool of blood in the bedroom of her Italian home.
