Milla Jovovich is one of the best, fresh-faced style icons. She hardly ever encounters any big mishaps and usually carries off playful and young styles very well. You just have to love her!
At the Paris Fashion Week, Milla was spotted wearing a gorgeous make up and a slightly tousled loopy bun.
BellaSugar posted a great how-to for Milla’s hairstyle:
* Step one: This style is much easier to accomplish on hair that’s not freshly washed. If your hair is squeaky clean, however, you can “dirty” it up with product. Try Pantene Pro-V Style Texturize! Spray Wax ($6) or Frederic Fekkai Wave Spray ($20). * Step two: Tease the hair around the nape of the neck to create volume. This also establishes a nice base for the bobby pins to cling to in step four. Lightly smooth out teased hair with a comb. * Step three: Create a middle part in the front of the hair. Gather the rest of the hair back into a ponytail at the base of the neck, leaving out a few face-framing pieces. * Step four: Now is the fun part. Take about a quarter inch piece of hair from your ponytail. Create a loop shape by pinning this hair to the base of the ponytail. Next, take another quarter-inch piece of hair and thread it through the previous piece. Pin into place. With each quarter-inch section of hair you take, get creative. Pin some just to the base of your ponytail. Then, loop others through previously pinned pieces — twisting and turning along the way. The overall effect? Like it was professionally done.
Bronzers are great to get a little colour and shimmer on the face. A foundation alone can leave you looking incredibly bland and monotonous. Bronzer gives you that extra sparkle! Applying it isn’t all that difficult, as this video by Expertvillage demonstrates:
Home remedies such as vinegar for dandruff certainly sounds cheap and easy. If you search for vinegar uses on the Internet, you will find that many people claim it actually works.
So if you want to give it a try, clean your scalp and fight dandruff, rinse your hair with a solution of 1/2 cup vinegar mixed with 2 cups of warm water. Rinse after shampooing.
Routinely following a very simple skin care is an important step towards beautiful skin.
Here’s essential things that make the foundation of healthy, glowing skin: exfoliating, moisturising and bronzing.
I love using oat scrubs to exfoliate my skin, as well as sea salt and occasionally, sugar. Try a mixture of butter and salt for a healthy glow!
Just like our body, our skin needs moisture. Choosing a good cream for everyday use is essential to keep the skin nice and subtle, especially during dry winter months.
Bronzers can come in incredible handy and fake a year-round colour. For best results, apply Bronzer only to the areas of your face where the sun would naturally strike, such as nose, cheekbones, forehead and chin.
Beautiful skin isn’t expensive but a basic skin routine could help you looking fabulous, long-term.
I love homemade cosmetics but usually refrain from making loads. Simple household ingredients aren’t always as good as some people make out.
One recipe that recently caught my eye was the Green Tea Toner. Since recession has hit, you may want to give this cheap solution a go. I made some yesterday and have yet to see whether or not it is any good.
(image: savvy-spa.com)
Here’s the recipe:
4 tsp loose green tea leaf (Tip: Cut open 2 tea bags if you don’t have loose leaves) 1 cup boiling mineral water
Boil the water and steep tea bags for at least 10 minutes to make concentrated tea. Wait for the tea to cool, then pour it into a small spritzer bottle and refrigerate. Spray toner directly on clean, just-washed skin and pat it in (or apply it with a clean cotton ball). Follow with moisturizer.

I constantly turn to YouTube to find make up and beauty tutorials. Watching a video makes the whole thing a lot easier, especially when it comes to things like how to pluck your eyebrows.
Anyhow, I found the ExpertVillage video clip to be pretty helpful. It’s quite basic though but it shows the first steps in getting beautifully groomed eye brows:
Over time, constant hair dying can damage your hair. Even though new formulas promise to take good care of your hair, they still contain harsh chemicals you could do without.
Unfortunately it seems that if you want a professional looking result, you pretty much have no choice but to buy a hair dye product such as Garnier’s nutrisse.
If you don’t want a big difference, henna and indigo powder is a good alternative.
Having tried Henna powder myself, I must say while the application was rather messy, the result was reasonably good. There wasn’t a lot of difference but my hair had a nice shine to it.
It doesn’t ALWAYS take an iron. My hair is naturally slightly frizzy and my ends are dry. This is incredibly annoying when trying to style it. I love having it sleek, smooth and straight.
I’m not particularly good at styling my hair and actually haven’t got a clue how to properly achieve straight hair.
As I’ve mentioned before, YouTube is probably the first place I usually look for tutorials and there are definitely some videos that helped me a lot.
YouTube has become one of my favourites. Especially for make up tutorials. The enormous amount of how-to video clips is extremely useful as you usually find everything you are looking for.
One of the most popular YouTubers to create amazing content is panacea81 – if you get the chance, check out her YouTube channel for lots of cool make up tutorials.
